Running.

Well, so today for the first time in several weeks (oh goodness maybe months...), I went running. Well not running like the tall fit blondes in the my office, but my kinda running, on the elliptical with something good to watch on the computer.

I'm beginning to realize that as much fun as Weeds is to watch, it just wasn't cutting it on the exercise front, it wasn't engulfing enough to keep me interested for 30 minutes (since episodes are only 25 or so...) nor was it intriguing enough to get me to wake up early to watch in the morning.

So, this morning, I decided to run and watch a program that I've been told over and over that I would like, Gilmore Girls. I just watched the pilot, and I may already be hooked. The fast talking and smart dialog has sucked me in. I'm pretty excited to watch more. This maybe just the thing I needed to get me up and running again.

I did manage to start back up at 30 minutes, but wasn't quite getting the distance/speed I was getting before the lull. Hopefully I'll work back up to that soon and then to 40 or 45 minutes so I can watch a full episode.

Since I'm here, I'll tell you that my weight is up again, and my spirits remain down, which is another reason I'm giving exercise another go. As Elle Woods would say "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't." So, I'm gonna try to get some natural mood lifters flowing to see if I can get my mind back in order.
